Offseason INT: Cincinnati BengalsPosted on February 25, 2014 by Phil Gentile
OFFSEASON INT is a feature in which we isolate three players from an opposing team's roster, present the pros and cons of stealing them away and adding them to the Ravens roster -- yep, flat out stealing, not trading for -- and attempt to find a consensus as to which of those three players #RavensNation would prefer. This week we stay in the AFC North and highlight the Cincinnati Bengals.
Vontaze Burfict, Linebacker
A.J. Green, Wide Receiver
Easy choice here. One of the best receivers in the game and he's only 25 years old. His receptions have increased every year he's been in the league and he has hauled in 29 touchdowns in his first three NFL seasons. Might not be in the same class as Megatron but he right behind him as far as talented NFL receivers go. A.J. Green is one of the rare receivers that you can build an offense around. A duo of the Georgia alum and Torrey Smith would be virtually unstoppable.
Geno Atkins, Defensive Tackle
At just 25 years old, Geno Atkins is one of the premier interior defensive linemen in the NFL. He has 29 sacks in his first four seasons and the Bengals defense held opposing offenses to 96.5 rushing yards per game in 2013. Despite coming off an ACL injury, I'd love to see Atkins in the middle of the Ravens defensive line for the next decade, especially after the inconsistent play of Haloti Ngata over the last couple seasons.
