But Flacco may even get a jump ahead of OTAs by holding some workouts of his own.
During a press conference Wednesday to announce his new five-year contract, tight end
“We’ve talked about it, and nothing is set in stone right now, but I know that’s something Joe wants to get done,” Pitta said. (BaltimoreRavens.com)
This is good news for Ravens fans, who have wanted to see Flacco get together with his Ravens teammates during the offseason. Especially after we received word that Big Ben had workouts with Steelers receivers back in February. These private workouts have been done recently by most (if not all) of the NFL's top flight quarterbacks and with Kubiak's new playbook might be the perfect time for Joe Flacco and company to do the same.
I have to give Joe credit. This is something I have criticized him for and (if it actually happens) will hopefully give a boost to a Ravens offense that finished 29th in the NFL in yards per game last season. Currently the Ravens have Dennis Pitta, Torrey Smith, Marlon Brown, Deonte Thompson, & Aaron Mellette under contract.
