Ravens Trim Roster Down to 75 Players

Posted on August 25, 2014 by Rob Michels

The Ravens trimmed the roster down from 90 players to 75 today. Cut day wasn’t until tomorrow at 4 p.m., but the team made the moves ahead of the deadline.

Here is the list:

LaQuan Williams, WR

Omar Brown, S

Nicholas DiMarco, LB

Richie Leone, P

Mario Norman, CB

Austin Spliter, LB

Mike Willie, WR

Cierre Wood, RB

Deji Olaytoye, CB

David Mims, OT

Waived Injured:

Shaun Chapas, RB

Brent Van Sloten, OT

Injured Reserve (I.R.):

Kapron Lewis-Moore, DE

Will Rackley, OG

Brent Urban, DE

No crazy moves by the Ravens front office, which was expected. Out of the group LaQuan Williams is the biggest name getting the boot. Omar Brown also performed well during OTAs but fell behind in training camp. Kapron Lewis-Moore and Brent Urban were two young players who were expected to make an impact this season on the Ravens defensive line. They head to injured reserve and will rehab for next season.

The next line of cuts comes on August 30th when the roster will be cut down to 53 players.
